Hello Finch readers! Tara from Girl Like The Sea popping by on the shop blog to show you some cute little items I made with some sneaky peek fat quarters of the upcoming Cotton and Steel. How lucky am I, right?
First, I snagged some of this adorable animal print and mimicked the bunnies in it to make a little zip pouch mini purse for my kids. And because I really didn’t want to sew a strap, I used a couple of vintage zippers from my stash. Score! The face was just haphazardly painted on with fabric paint, but I love it!
Second, I put together this little fuzzy eared hood with two FQ’s and some leftover faux fur from another hat project. I just love the teal almost solid with the little sketchy dot squares. SO perfect for so many things. The pattern used is the cozy winter hood from the Oliver and S book “Little Things To Sew.” I’ve made it tons of times in all kinds of fabrics. It’s pretty awesome.
Don’t worry. I have lots more pictures to show you ^_^
I just love her chicken legs in those new skinny jeans. They’re some unblogged small fry skinny jeans I made her.
Now brace yourself for the radness my middle child is about to bring you.
Are you excited for the release of C&S? I’ve got one more project in the pipeline to share with you, but not today!
